The Hudson Downtown Business Improvement District is holding its inaugural Downtown Hudson Restaurant Week Feb. 1-7. Over a dozen restaurants are participating in the new tradition, offering a variety of specials and deals.

"The restaurants are excited about it. We're excited about it. I think only good can come from it," Richard Braga, the administrator for the Hudson Downtown Business Improvement District, told the Community Advocate.

The new tradition was inspired by the town's former Taste of Hudson event. This year, Downtown Hudson hopes to see local residents and out-of-towners take advantage of the downtown's wide variety of eateries.

"We certainly hope that it's going to attract a bunch of folks to the downtown over that week," Braga said. Unless specified otherwise, Restaurant Week specials are for dine-in customers.

We're excited to share with you all our our plans for a new endeavor - a new restaurant opening in Marlborough.

Wemmy's Kitchen & Lounge will offer an upscale dining experience bringing a large variety of well-known high-quality wines, craft cocktails with fresh ingredients, high-end steak offerings, and fresh locally sourced seafood including a fresh oyster bar. Included in the menu will be a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options for all ages.

The new location's floor plan has an open-kitchen concept showcasing brand new kitchen appliances and an elegant interior design. The dining room will have 160 seats including the bar. An additional function room with 100 seats to cater corporate events and the public. 

A modern lounge area will feature comfortable seating and fireplace for those waiting to sit down, or a hangout spot. 

A proposal for seasonal outdoor patio with additional 50 seats will be presented to local authorities for proper permitting.

We will share more updates as it becomes available, and we can't wait to be open.
